Argo City Council Member Resigns
Councilman Ronnie Bowman has sold his house in Argo and tendered his resignation.
ARGO, AL - The Argo City Council learned this week that one of its members will step down. Councilman Ronnie Bowman announced at Monday's meeting he has sold his house in Argo and will no longer serve on the council, effective immediately.
"It is with regret that I tender my resignation from the Argo City Council effective immediately," said Bowman in his resignation letter. "I am grateful for having the opportunity of serving on the board of this fine organization for the past two and a half years; and I offer my best wishes and continued success."
The council voted unanimously to accept the resignation. The council will consider options for replacing Bowman at the next council meeting, according to a Trussville Tribune report.

"I would like to thank Councilperson Bowman for the time that he was spent on the council and for the work that he has done for they city," said Mayor Betty Bradley. "I wish him well wherever he may go and I just want to say that we appreciate what he has given to the city."
