Assistant Superintendent Of Student Services Hired In Trussville

Trussville City Schools hired a new assistant superintendent at its June Board of Education meeting.

TRUSSVILLE, AL — Trussville City Schools has a new assistant superintendent. Rachel Poovey will head Student Services in her new role in the system, according to a Trussville Tribune report.

Poovey, who previously worked in Decatur City Schools, holds a Bachelor’s in Special Education from the University of Alabama, a Master’s in Mental Retardation, and Education Specialist degree in Administration from UAB.

She received her Doctorate in Educational Administration from the University of Alabama. She is Nationally Board-Certified and is currently pursuing her national certification in assistive technology.
