TUSCALOOSA, AL — A University of Alabama football star is using a new NCAA rule to help a Trussville child. Former Hewitt-Trussville student Malachi Moore, who enjoyed one of the best freshman seasons in the country this past season, will use the new name, image and likeness rule to raise money for 5-year-old leukemia patient Ford Bertram, according to a WVTM report.

Moore has announced that he is donating 10 percent of money earned from his jersey sales to help Ford in his battle against cancer.

The new NIL rule means Moore, who has already signed endorsement deals with Milo's, PSD Underwear and CrisP Clothing, can make money off jersey sales and endorsements.
