Family Threatened By Teen With Knife At Trussville Target

A family of four was threatened by a 15-year-old girl wielding a knife in the parking lot of the Target in Trussville.

TRUSSVILLE, AL — A family of four reported they were threatened by a girl wielding a knife in the parking lot of the Target in Trussville. An ABC 33/40 report said the incident occurred Sunday night.

The report said the girl, identified as a 15-year-old from Birmingham, approached the family — a woman, her fiance and her two children — while inside the store, and eventually followed the family into the parking lot. That was when the woman brandished the knife and threatened the family.

The family was able to make it to their car and call the police. The teen was apprehended and taken to Children's of Alabama for evaluation.
