Hewitt-Trussville, Pinson Valley, Clay-Chalkville Stay In Top 5
The Alabama Sports Writers Association ranking were released Wednesday, and three local teams are among the top 5.
TRUSSVILLE, AL — The Alabama Sports Writers Association kept Hewitt-Trussville, Pinson Valley and Clay-Chalkville in the top 5 in this week's high school football polls, with all three teams winning last week.
The Huskies received two first-place votes in this week's poll after blowing out Tuscaloosa County last week 50-18. Hewitt-Trussville has now outscored their opponents 139-50 this season.

Pinson Valley's 33-28 win over then-undefeated Minor kept the Indians at no. 4 ahead of their game Friday against 2-1 Jackson-Olin.
Clay-Chalkville is ranked 5th after the Cougars beat Gardendale 38-17 last Friday. They play Minor this week.
