Huskies Hoops Star Amiya Payne Named 7A Player Of The Year
Senior guard Amiya Payne was named the Alabama Sports Writers Association Player of the Year for Class 7A.
TRUSSVILLE, AL — The Alabama Sports Writers Association announced Saturday that Hewitt-Trussville senior Amiya Payne has been named the Class 7A girls Player of the Year.
Payne led the Huskies to a Final Four berth and a 29-5 overall record this season. She finished her impressive basketball career at Hewitt-Trussville with 2,420 points, 744 rebounds, 217 steals and 203 blocked shots.
Payne will play basketball for Middle Tennessee State University next season.
