Huskies, Indians, Cougars Ranked In Top 5

TRUSSVILLE, AL — The Alabama Sports Writers Association has Hewitt-Trussville, Pinson Valley and Clay-Chalkville all ranked in the top 5 their respective classes. All three area teams notched wins last week.

The Huskies, again ranked no. 2 in Class 7A this week, impressed voters with their 45-13 win over then 10th-ranked Spain Park last week. The team travels to Tuscaloosa County for a regional game this week. TC is 1-2 so far this season.

Hewitt-Trussville garnered three first-place votes in this week's poll.

The ASWA has Clay-Chalkville ranked no. 5 this week after the Cougars blew out Jasper 40-7 last week. Clay-Chalkville takes on Gardendale this Friday.
