Huskies Softball Team Celebrates 7A State Championship
Hewitt-Trussville captured the Class 7A state championship in softball Friday with a win over Fairhope.
OXFORD, AL — A nearly perfect season for the Hewitt-Trussville High School softball team culminated in a state championship Friday night, as the Huskies defeated Fairhope 16-4. This is HTHS's second straight state championship in softball.
Hewitt-Trussville senior Jenn Lord was named the state tournament MVP.
The Huskies dropped the first game of the series before roaring back and defeating the Pirates of Fairhope in the tournament finals in Oxford.
