Jefferson Sheriff’s Office Holds 2019 Holiday Card Design Contest
The JCSO wants to see kid's artwork and creativity for the official Sheriff's holiday card design for the 2019 holiday season.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL -- The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office wants artwork and designs from local children to use as the office's official holiday card for 2019, and has launched a contest to get the right design. The contest runs from now until Nov. 5.
Jefferson County residents/students ages 12 and under may submit original artwork to the contest, with the winner used on the front of the Sheriff’s Office’s holiday cards which will be mailed at the end of November or the first week of December.
Entries must be original artwork with a holiday-themed illustration that incorporates the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office in some way. The design should portray positive police and community relationships.

"We want children to understand that we are committed to their well-being, safety and security; our job is so much more than writing tickets and arresting people, said Brittany Sharp of the JCSO.
All appropriate artwork submitted to the contest will be on display at the Sheriff’s Office social media throughout the months of December and January.

There will be three awards total:
One Grand Prize Winner be awarded and recognized with the following:
- Their design featured on the front cover of the official Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office 2019 holiday cards
- Ride in Sheriff Patrol Car
- Breakfast or lunch with the Sheriff
- 10 copies of the printed greeting card
- Press Release with photo with Sheriff Mark Pettway announcing the winners
- Recognition on the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office social media pages
- Certificate of Excellence
- Commemorative Sheriff’s Office Coin
The two (2) Runner-Up Contestants will each be awarded and recognized with the following
- Press Release with photo with Sheriff Mark Pettway announcing the winners
- Recognition on the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office social media pages
- Certificate of Appreciation
- Commemorative Sheriff’s Office Commemorative Coin
