LeWayne Allen Sworn In As Latest Clay City Council Member

Allen is the second new council member added this month, after two members resigned earlier in the year.

CLAY, AL — The newest member of the Clay City Council was sworn in Tuesday night. LeWayne Allen was appointed to fill the last vacant positions on the council, according to a Trussville Tribune report.

Allen, who served on the city's Planning and Zoning Commission, was appointed to fill Ben Thackerson’s seat. Thackerson and Councilor Dennis Locke both resigned from the council May 25.
