Longtime Trussville Businessman Harry Reich Dies
Trussville native and longtime businessman Harry Reich died Feb.3 at the age of 82.

TRUSSVILLE, AL — Trussville native and longtime member of the Trussville business community Harry Reich died Feb. 3. He was 82 years old.
Reich and his family moved to Trussville in 1938, and he attended Hewitt High School before enrolling in St Bernard Junior College at the age of 16, and in 1948 graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Notre Dame in Mechanical Engineering.
Reich began his foundry career at ACIPCO, leaving in 1953 to join his father, Harry H. Reich, at Harry H. Reich Companies, Inc. in Trussville. The business remains with two sons at its helm.

Heavily involved in the Trussvilel community, Reich was on the design and building committee of the original Holy Infant of Prague Catholic Church in Trussville, and from 1955-65 he was a member and later chairman of the Trussville Utilities Board. He was later elected as a local delegate to the Jefferson County Committee for Economic Opportunity (JCCEO) Head Start Program.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn and six children.
