Metro Diner Plans To Open In Trussville In March

Metro Diner's Trussville location will be located between Tutwiler Drive and Calumet Parkway on Highway 11.

TRUSSVILLE, AL - Trussville will likely be the latest location to open for the popular Metro Diner next month. The Trussville location will be located between Tutwiler Drive and Calumet Parkway on Highway 11.

A report by the Trussville Tribune said the diner is slated to open March 12. The diner has locations in Vestavia Hills and in the Inverness area on U.S. 280 that have opened in the last couple of years.

Metro Diner’s menu offers a wide variety of dishes, including a breakfast offering that boasts traditional eggs, bacon and even Eggs Benedict, to lunch and dinner fare such as meat loaf, chicken and waffles, and Charleston shrimp and grits.

The addition of Metro Diner and Chicken Salad Chick in the new development was announced last fall, and the 24,240-square-foot building has space for up to seven more retailers.

The city estimates that when complete, the restaurants and retail will generate $5 million in sales annually and will provide the opportunity for 225 post-opening jobs.
