New Board Member Named For Trussville City Schools

TRUSSVILLE, AL — A new school board member was chosen for Trussville City Schools Tuesday night during the Trussville City Council meeting. Sherrye Tolbert will replace Stan Garrett, whose term expires in May 2021, according to a Trussville Tribune report.

A committee was put in place in February to choose Garrett's successor. The committee included:

• Barry Choat; Mayor, City of Trussville
• Alan Taylor; President, Trussville City Council
• Lisa Bright; Trussville City Council BOE liaison
• Mandy Dixon; HR Director, City of Trussville
• Kathy Brown; President, Trussville City School Board
