Pinson Valley Gridiron Star Will Play At Air Force Academy
PVHS linebacker James Perkins announced his verbal pledge to Air Force Tuesday morning.
PINSON, AL — Pinson Valley High School senior James Perkins will continue his football career beyond high school. The Indians linebacker announced via social media Tuesday that he will play next season at the United States Air Force Academy.

"Thank you Pinson Valley High School for the great opportunities," Perkins said via Twitter. "For my teammates current and old, thanks for the constant support and motivation. I want to also thank the other programs that showed interest in me during this process. With that being said, I’m proud to announce that I’ll be continuing my athletic and academic career at the United States Air Force Academy."
Perkins, who is listed at 6-foot-2 and 210 pounds, also received offers from Kansas, the United States Naval Academy and South Alabama.
