Pinson Valley Moves Up In Latest ASWA Poll

Pinson Valley moved up, Clay-Chalkville dropped and Hewitt-Trussville held their spot in the latest ASWA poll.

TRUSSVILLE, AL — The battle between cross-town rivals Pinson Valley and Clay-Chalkville last Friday resulted in some changes in the Alabama Sports Writers Association 6A poll this week, as Pinson Valley's win propelled the Indians to no. 3 in the latest poll.

Pinson Valley's 27-10 victory not only moved the team up in the polls but also secured a regional championship for coach Sam Shade's Indians.

Pinson Valley faces Jasper Friday, and 6th-ranked Clay-Chalkville plays Huffman.
