Popular Food Truck To Expand In Jefferson County And Beyond

A caterer and food truck operator that specializes in seafood, comfort food and more is expanding in the Birmingham metro.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL — After a successful first year of operations in Birmingham, chef Simone Generette plans to unveil a second Simone’s Kitchen ATL food truck. The new truck will debut at the Juneteenth Food Truck Festival on June 18, according to a Birmingham Business Journal report.

"As of now, truck one primarily services cities within Jefferson County, but our goal with expansion is to venture out further to counties like Shelby County, Walker County, St. Clair County, plus more." Generette told the BBJ. "We truly want to service food deserts because those cities need our services the most."

Generette said plans for a brick-and-mortar location are a possibility in the future.
