Trussville Council Changes Food Truck Ordinance

The Trussville City Council this week made amendments to the city's food truck ordinance amid the coronavirus pandemic.

TRUSSVILLE, AL — The Trussville City Council this week made some revisions to the city's food truck ordinance, as more food trucks have made stops in the city's neighborhoods amid the coronavirus outbreak. A Trussville Tribune report said food trucks are now allowed in residential areas, unlike before.

Changes include:

  • Redefinition common spaces, so food trucks will not block emergency vehicles and driveways
  • Reduced the fee for permits for food trucks to $25 per year
  • Food trucks will have to purchase a business license from the city
