Trussville Council Declares April 25 'Bubbles For Love Day'
The Trussville City Council declared April 25 to be 'Bubbles For Love Day.' for Parental Alienation Awareness Week.

TRUSSVILLE, AL - In honor of Parental Alienation Prevention Week April 22 – 28, the Trussville City Council declared April 25 "Bubbles For Love Day." The Alabama Family Rights Association encouraged municipalities across the state to participate. Governor Kay Ivey signed a proclamation last week recognizing Parental Alienation Prevention Week.
Alabama is one of 16 states who have declared or recognized April 25 as Parental Alienation Awareness Day. According to psychologists terminology, parental alienation occurs when one parent attempts to turn the couple's children against the other parent. This is considered a form of child abuse.
"Children should be encouraged to freely love both parents regardless of their parents’ marital status," the AFRA stated in a release regarding the April 25 event. "This is an important community campaign that links parental alienation with child abuse because after all, it is a form of mental abuse that children suffer. Show your support for children by taking 10 minutes out of your day at noon April 25th (or any other time during the week) to blow bubbles for love."
