Trussville Receives ALDOT Funds To Widen Edwards Lake Parkway
The Alabama Department of Transportation has awarded funding for several road projects, including one in Trussville.
MONTGOMERY, AL — The Alabama Department of Transportation has awarded part of its $3.1 million allotment for road projects to Birmingham metro municipalities. One of those projects will take place in Trussville, according to a Birmingham Business Journal report.
Trussville received $193,104 to widen and resurface Edwards Lake Parkway from U.S. 11 to Morrow Road. Trussville will provide matching funds of $48,965.60, according to the BBJ report.
Also in Jefferson County, the city of Mulga received $250,000 to resurface portions of Tarpley Road, Bayview Drive and School Street North for a total of 1.935 miles. Mulga will provide $256,410 in matching funds.
