Trussville School Calendar 2018-19: First Day Of School And More

TRUSSVILLE, AL — The first day of school in Trussville is August 8 — and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you’ll want to mark the date on your calendar ASAP. The Trussville School District has released its 2018-2019 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

September

• 9/3: No School (Labor Day)

October

• 10/8: No School (Columbus Day)
• 10/9: No School for Students (Teacher Workday, Parent Conference Day)

November

• 11/12: No School (Veterans Day Observed)
• 11/21-11/23: No School (Thanksgiving Vacation)

December

• 12/14: Student Dismissal at 12 p.m.
• 12/17-1/1: No School (Winter Holidays)

January

• 1/2: Teachers Return
• 1/3: Students Return
• 1/21: No School (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)

February

• 2/18: No School (Presidents' Day Holiday)

March

• 3/25-3/29: No School (Spring Break)

May

• 5/21: Graduation
• 5/23: Last Day Student Dismissal at 12 p.m.
• 5/24: Teacher Workday
