Upcoming ASD Job Fair Offers on the Spot Interviews for Approximately 100 Job Opportunities, Some Qualify for $500 Hiring Bonus

The Anchorage School District Talent Management Department announces plans to host the ASD Job Fair, to be held in-person on Tuesday, June 22, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Begich Middle School, located at 7440 Creekside Center Dr., Anchorage, AK 99504. 
 
“As COVID numbers in our community drop, the number of students who come through our doors increases each day. With that comes a demand for operational staff who are essential to making our buildings function,” said ASD Chief Operations Officer Thomas Roth. “We are recruiting folks who want to make a difference. From trade workers to bus drivers to cafeteria workers, the need for operational team members is high.”
 
Hiring managers will be on hand to conduct interviews for approximately 100 positions for the following openings:
 

• Cafeteria Manger (multiple locations)
• Mobile Cafeteria Manager
• Student Café Assistant (multiple locations)
• Central Kitchen Assistant
• School Nurses
• Bus Drivers
• Bus Attendants
• Custodians (full and parttime)
• Trade Workers & Maintenance

 
 
Potential candidates may complete an application during the hiring fair or beforehand on ASD’s website www.asdk12.org/workforasd. Qualified applicants who have a completed application will have an opportunity to interview on the spot with a hiring manager, and successful candidates may receive a job offer onsite. 
 
Some positions at the upcoming ASD Job Fair may be eligible for a $500 hiring bonus. All job offers are subject to background check, fingerprinting, and other department specific testing requirements. Starting salaries vary by position.
 
The District operates over130 schools and programs, educating over 41,000 students. ASD provides a benefits package to eligible employees and competitive pay.
