Anchorage Downtown Partnership Presents Re-Imagined Downtown Solstice Festival

The celebration is set for Saturday, June 19.

Anchorage Downtown Partnership Ltd. (ADP) presents a Re-Imagined Downtown Solstice Festival to celebrate the longest day of the year! This year we are celebrating Solstice on June 19th, at Town Square Park, Peratrovich Park, G Street, E Street and the City Hall’s parking lot from 12 to 6pm, and continuing our celebration with an afterparty in East Downtown in conjunction with the 3rd Avenue Radicals at 4th Avenue and Gambell Street from 5 to 9pm.

“ADP is thrilled to bring back a Re-Imagined version of the beloved Downtown Solstice Festival, we are excited to host a festival filled with live music, performances and activities for the whole family!” said Amanda Moser, Executive Director of ADP. “We invite Anchorage to come enjoy the positive energy around Downtown on Solstice, and support our local businesses.”

This year’s Re-Imagined Downtown Solstice Festival will feature a variety of entertainment downtown from 12:00 to 6:00pm and East Downtown at the After-Hours Solstice Party from 5:00 to 9:00pm including:

  • Live Music with Dawn McClain, Emma Hill, Timbre Music, the Wiley Post Band, and the 9th Army Band
  • Dance Performances and open dance - Anaya Latin Dance, and Underground Dance Company
  • TruGame 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament
  • Beer Gardens - Darwin’s Theory, Crush Bistro
  • Cider Garden - Double Shovel I Fat Ptarmigan
  • Sober Garden - Recover Alaska
  • Solstice Festival Photo Booth
  • Games & Art activities at Cabin Fever, the Quilted Raven, the Wooly Mammoth, and Sevigny Studio
  • After-Hours Solstice Party - featuring a live music with Nothin’ But Trouble, a beer garden, a taco food-truck, an antique auto show, and contests/giveaways on 4th Avenue and Gambell Street
  • Pig Roast Grand Opening - Broken Blender - Noon to 10:00pm
  • Live Music with Big Head Todd and the Monsters - Williwaw Social - 6:00 to 10:30pm
  • Juneteenth at the Anchorage Museum - Free admission
