Anchorage Woman's Club Is Holding A Fundraiser For The Food Bank Of Alaska

AWC is accepting $25 donations throughout February.

(Anchorage Chamber of Commerce)

Our President Keiko Torgersen sent out a call to request "We are asking all who can to donate a minimum of $25.00 for the Alaskan Food Bank during the month of February." The AWC fundraiser is called "Share Your Love of Alaska".

Here is an excerpt of what AWC wrote about the Alaska Food Bank of Alaska: "The Food Bank of Alaska has been working tirelessly for 40 years to serve the people of Alaska. During 2019 they distributed 7.5 million pounds of food, going to 180 partner organizations throughout Alaska. Did you know 1 in 7 children do not have enough food to eat? That our senior population is also very vulnerable? For every $1.00 donated, 3 meals will be provided. For $25.00 donated, 75 meals are donated. AWC is accepting $25.00 donations throughout February 2021. We will present one big check to the Food Bank of Alaska in the beginning of March 2021."

As a member of AWC and an ACC member through AWC, Rosella Young, owner of AA-1 Designs - Vintage Side of Things, is conducting a fundraiser to help AWC raise more funds for their Food Bank of Alaska fundraiser. AA-1 Designs has a booth at the Lazy Dog Antique Shop and an online space on Spot On Marketing's Online Bazaar. AA-1 Designs will donate $25.00 to the Food Bank of Alaska with every $50.00 and over purchase from our booth #2364 at Lazy Dog Antique Shop and our space on Spot On Marketing's Online Bazaar "Crafts From the Heart", through the month of February 2021.

Once you show me your receipt from Lazy Dog, I will write a $25.00 check to the AWC for their food Bank of Alaska fundraiser. Lazy Dog does accept credit cards. While at the Lazy Dog Antique Shop, ask the staff directions to Rosella Young's booth, #2364. It is very close to the entrance and the front desk. Lazy Dog is located on DeBarr Road near Bragaw Street, directly behind Denny's. Their hours of operation are 11am to 6pm, Monday-Saturday, and closed Sunday. For more information, call 276-8551.
