ANCHORAGE, AK — Star, the reindeer that strolled down Anchorage streets and was a staple for residents and tourists, died at the age of 15.

The reindeer died Saturday, KTVA-TV reported. A note posted on her pen by owner Albert Whitehead said the animal died in his arms. He took Star on a short walk and she collapsed after returning home.

The reindeer spent her final days hanging out and eating her favorite treats, including grapes and mini wheats, Whitehead said.
