Wasilla Resident Calls 911 After 4-Foot Alligator Outgrows Bathtub
Valley Aquatics took in the 3-year-old American alligator, owner Sheridan Perkins said. Perkins is considering relocating Allie to Florida.

WASILLA, AK — While alligators are commonly associated with swamps in the South, animal rescuers took in a 4-foot-long gator that outgrew its bathtub in Wasilla, Alaska — about 4,000 miles north of the equator. A resident called 911 this week upon realizing that the alligator, Allie, couldn't live in the tub anymore, KTUU-TV reported.
Valley Aquatics took in the 3-year-old American alligator, owner Sheridan Perkins said. Perkins is considering relocating Allie to Florida, she said.
In May, a 17-foot python named Sam disappeared for several days and resurfaced in his home's living room. Sam returned through a door his owner left open for him.
