Carmel Mountain Gets Sweeter with New Nothing Bundt Cakes

Bakery celebrates with essential worker appreciation day and two days to benefit local non-profits

A new Nothing Bundt Cakes bakery recently opened in Carmel Mountain becoming the seventh bakery in the San Diego area. “It is amazing to be part of the San Diego community and helping people stay connected when they need it most,” explained Cat Santangelo, Nothing Bundt Cakes San Diego Market Director. “So many important occasions are being affected at this time and we cherish being able to help our guests reimagine their special moments when they can’t be together in person. We are excited about joining the Carmel Mountain community and continuing to share the joy.” The bakery will celebrate their grand opening at the end of January, including several events to give back to the community (please see details below).

GRAND OPENING EVENTS

  • Thursday, January 28
    • Essential Worker Appreciation Day – Caring for those who care for others
      • 10% off cake purchases for First Responders, Military and Medical Professionals
  • Friday, January 29
    • 9 a.m.-8 p.m. – Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego Benefit Day – 20% of sales will be donated to this amazing organization that provides a “home-away-from-home” for families with children being treated for serious, often life-threatening conditions at local hospitals
  • Saturday, January 30
    • 10 a.m.-6 p.m. – San Diego Humane Society Benefit Day – 20% of sales will be donated to this open-admission shelter that is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people

Nothing Bundt Cakes is located in Carmel Mountain Plaza at 11704 Carmel Mountain Road, Suite 140 and is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The concept combines the warmth of nostalgia with a fresh, modern approach. The luscious cakes are baked in-house and are made with the finest ingredients, including real eggs, butter and cream cheese, in 40 unique designs and 10 delicious flavors.
