At the site of a large bluff collapse Feb. 28, crews are set remove loose material, perform remedial grading and prepare the slope for unspecified stabilization work.
Meanwhile, authorities continue to warn the public not to sit, stand or walk within 50 feet of the bluffs. Sheriff’s deputies have increased their presence near the site of the collapse. A SANDAG notice says another failure near the 4th Street is possible "due to cracks observed at the top of the bluffs."
