Del Mar July 4th Fireworks 2020 Canceled: See Events Nearby

DEL MAR, CA — Independence Day events across the country will not look the same this year, thanks to the coronavirus. Many cities and organizations decided to cancel their Fourth of July events, including in Del Mar with the cancellation of the Powerhouse Park parade and at the fairgrounds where fireworks were to accompany the now-canceled fair.

Other area fireworks cancellations include at Legoland in Carlsbad, in Escondido, Oceanside, San Marcos and in San Diego with the cancellation of a live "Big Bay Boom" for 2020.

But throughout San Diego County, there are some live fireworks displays still set to go on — including in Vista, Poway, Santee and El Cajon. Plus several communities are hosting stay-home, patriotic fun.
