Del Mar's Bill Smith Reappointed to Assessment Appeals Board

The board helps settle property assessment disputes

Del Mar's Bill Smith has been reappointed to serve on the county's Assessment Appeals Board, a role he has filled since 2010. 

“I appreciate the experience and insight Mr. Smith brings to the board and his willingness to serve,” county Supervisor Dave Roberts said in a statement.

Smith, who retired as chief deputy county counsel for the County of San Diego in 2010, helps settle property assessment disputes between property owners and the county assessor as part of the independent board. 

Three appeals board members are appointed by county supervisors.
