CARMEL VALLEY, CA — Daphne's, a chain of Greek restaurants that prides itself on a healthy, Mediterranean-inspired menu and originally launched in the early 1990s in Carlsbad, is opening its newest location this week in Carmel Valley with a free offer for patrons.

Beginning at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, customers can score, with no purchase necessary, free Gyro Fries samplers — fries topped with hand-carved gyro, Daphne's signature Fire Feta sauce, pickled onions and crumbled feta cheese — at the new locale at 4639 Carmel Mountain Road in the Torrey Hills Center in San Diego.

“Daphne’s has been a staple in San Diego for over three decades, and since this is where the concept began, it’s extra exciting to continue growing the brand across San Diego and getting the opportunity to introduce our fresh and wholesome cuisine to new guests,” said Richard Mora, director of operations.
