SD Fair theme: How Sweet

How sweet... is it? The San Diego County Fair is at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. The fair which is kid-in-a-candy store themed, runs for 26 days starting June 1st and ending on July 4th with a fireworks show. The Albertsons/Vons fair, has 4,187 fun loaded rides. Last year attendance rose to 1,609,481. The Del Mar Fairgrounds are located at 2260 Jimmy Durante Blvd, the fairgrounds is also host to many Horse racing clubs and other events.

Closures

The fair is closed Mondays and Tuesdays in June. Open the 2nd and 3rd in July.

How to get there

Driving is tough, the I-5 is jammed both ways. Off site parking with free shuttle bus services will be avalible at two locaitons. Including, the HorsePark, Torrey Pines High School and Mira Costa Community College. Traffic both ways will be jammed espcially in the morning, it is advised to use back roads and to prepare to sit in traffic!

On Site Parking:

General Parking: $15.00

Preferred Parking: $25.00

Off Site Parking:

FREE Parking and FREE shuttle service to the O'brien gate.

Lot(s) stay open an hour after gates close at the fair.

Tickets & Cost

The box office opens one hour prior to gate opening.
