Volunteers Sought For Lagoon Clean-Up

Show love for your local wetlands on International Wetlands Day!

DEL MAR, CA — The San Dieguito River Valley Conservancy is looking for volunteers to help clean and restore part of its local lagoon on Saturday, Feb. 1 — International Wetlands Day — at the Brigantine Basin in the Del Mar area.

Volunteers of all ages are needed from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. to pull weeds and remove trash left behind at high tide at the basin at 3193 Camino del Mar. The event is limited to 20 participants, and waivers must be signed.

Free street-parking is available on South Cedros Avenue for up to two hours or pay-parking is available on Camino del Mar, organizers said.
