13 California Restaurants Among OpenTable’s ‘Most Romantic’

CALIFORNIA — A total of 13 restaurants in California have been named to the online reservation service OpenTable’s list of the 100 Most Romantic Restaurants In America for 2023.

OpenTable released the list in time for Valentine’s Day celebrations — or, for those who prefer, Galentine’s Day and Palentine’s Day alternate holiday celebrations.

In California, Los Angeles County ruled among favored restaurants, followed by San Diego County and Riverside County. Both San Francisco County and Orange County are represented, each with a restaurant on the list.

The Golden State’s favored 13 Open Table restaurants include:

• 555 East – Long Beach, CA
• 71Above – Los Angeles, CA
• Bacari - Silver Lake – Los Angeles, CA
• C-Level – San Diego, CA
• Cesarina – San Diego, CA
• Copley's on Palm Canyon – Palm Springs, CA
• Farmhouse at Rogers Gardens – Corona Del Mar, CA
• Girl & the Goat L.A. – Los Angeles, CA
• House of Prime Rib – San Francisco, CA
• La Boheme – West Hollywood, CA
• Musso & Frank Grill – Los Angeles, CA
• Pacific Coast Grill – Cardiff-By-The-Sea, CA
• Spencer's Restaurant – Palm Springs, CA

One note: If you plan to celebrate Valentine's Day or a special occasion at one of the listed restaurants, make your reservations now. Last year, more than half of the restaurants on the list were booked by Feb. 7, according to OpenTable.

OpenTable analyzed more than 13 million U.S. diner reviews to develop the list, according to a press release.

The list includes restaurants from 27 states, with California leading the list with 13 restaurants. Arizona has nine restaurants on the list, and Florida and Hawaii each have eight.
