A Cool Coming to the Heat Wave

San Diego County temperatures are expected to drop Wednesday, thanks to low pressure over the Eastern Pacific.

A weak trough of low pressure over the Eastern Pacific is expected to bring San Diego County  minor cooling and a slight decrease in humidity Wednesday, forecasters said.

Daytime high temperatures will be in the mid-70s to mid-80s in coastal areas, mid-80s in the western valleys, low to mid-90s near the foothills, mid- 80s to mid-90s in the mountains and triple digits in desert areas, according to the National Weather Service.

Also in the mountain and desert areas, there's a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon, the Weather Service reported.

As of early Wednesday, there were no advisories or warnings in place for San Diego County.
