The Encinitas City Council will discuss the Coastal Commission's needed certification for Proposition A at its Wednesday meeting, according to Encinitas Mayor Teresa Barth.
The measure requires voter approval for certain zoning law changes and would impose a citywide height limit of 30 feet.
The Coast News reported process of amending the local coastal program could take more than a year, while the law will take effect in the eastern portion of the city later this month.
