State of California Extends Eviction Moratorium for Commercial Businesses When the State Eviction Moratorium was extended through to June 30, 2021, the City’s commercial eviction moratorium was extended automatically. The eviction moratorium provides protections for businesses where the effects of the pandemic have created losses in revenue due to mandatory closures or reductions in operation. Unpaid rents are still due and a business owner that has not fully paid all rents during the term of the moratorium will be allowed six-months for repayment after June 30, 2021, unless the Eviction Moratorium is once again extended to a later date.
