Encinitas Post Office Extends Hours During Holiday Season

The week before Christmas is expected to be the busiest week of the year for Post Offices, according to the U.S. Postal Service.

ENCINITAS, CA — The holiday season is here! To help ease the hustle and bustle of getting presents and holiday cards in the mail, select U.S. Post Offices throughout San Diego County will extend hours on Saturday, Dec. 14, and open for full retail services on Sunday, Dec. 15.

The following post offices will extend retail service hours on Saturday, Dec. 14:

  • Eastlake: 830 Kuhn Drive, Chula Vista
    • 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • El Cajon: 401 W. Lexington Ave., El Cajon
    • 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Hillcrest: 3911 Cleveland Ave., San Diego
    • 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • La Costa: 1700 Aviara Parkway, Carlsbad
    • 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Midway: 2701 Midway Drive, San Diego
    • 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • Pacific Beach: 4640 Cass St., San Diego
    • 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The following post offices will be open for retail service (from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.) on Sunday, Dec. 15:

  • Hillcrest: 3911 Cleveland Ave., San Diego
  • La Costa: 1700 Aviara Parkway, Carlsbad
  • Midway: 2701 Midway Drive, San Diego
  • Oceanside: 1895 Avenida Del Oro, Oceanside
  • Otay Mesa: 650 Dennery Road, Suite 102, Otay Mesa
  • Pacific Beach: 4640 Cass St., San Diego
  • Santee: 9518 Mission Gorge Road, Santee

The week before Christmas is expected to be the busiest week of the year, according to the Postal Service. The Postal Service anticipates to deliver more than 28 million packages per day between Dec. 16 and 21.
