SOLANA BEACH, CA – A pedestrian was killed early Friday morning on a Solana Beach freeway after apparently fleeing on foot from the site of a crash, authorities said.
The initial collision happened just before 4:15 a.m. on the northbound side of Interstate 5 near Lomas Santa Fe Drive, California Highway Patrol Officer Tommy Doerr said. The driver of one of the vehicles involved in that crash apparently fled on foot, running into the southbound lanes.
