Flash Flooding Possible In Encinitas With Another Storm Wednesday
The National Weather Service issued a Flash Flood Watch for the coastal areas, mountains and valleys from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday.
ENCINITAS, CA — Forecasted heavy rain could trigger flash flooding in some areas of San Diego County Wednesday, when another storm rolls into the region, according to the National Weather Service.
The agency issued a Flash Flood Watch for the county's coastal areas, mountains and valleys — including Encinitas — from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday.
Areas that could experience flooding include the cities of Carlsbad, Chula Vista, El Cajon, Encinitas, Escondido, La Mesa, National City, Oceanside, Poway, San Diego, San Marcos, Santee and Vista, according to the NWS.

"A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding," weather officials said. "Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation."
