Flood Advisory Issued For Encinitas
The National Weather Service reported heavy rain and isolated thunderstorms moving across western and northern San Diego County.
ENCINITAS, CA — The National Weather Service has issued an urban and small stream flood advisory for portions of San Diego County, including Encinitas. The advisory is in effect until 3:15 p.m.
The NWS reported heavy rain and isolated thunderstorms moving across western and northern San Diego County. Rainfall rates of 0.25 to 0.50 inches per hour and small hail are possible, weather officials said.

Some locations that will likely experience flooding include Carlsbad, Chula Vista, El Cajon, Encinitas, La Mesa, National City, Oceanside, Poway and Vista, according to the NWS.
"Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads," NWS officials said. "Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles."
