ENCINITAS, CA — As beaches in California reopen, beachgoers are cautioned to avoid large gatherings and practice social distancing. One gull is showing off its social distancing best practices in style.

This photo comes to us from Leslie Reeves, who captured an image of the solitary gull on Swami's Beach in Encinitas.

Beaches in San Diego County have reopened for active use, but sunbathing and large gatherings are still prohibited. There's never been a better time to surf, swim or take a jog without a crowded beach of onlookers.
