Indie is Your Rancho Coastal Humane Society Pet of The Week

It's time for a fresh start.

Indie is pet of the week at your Rancho Coastal Humane Society. She’s a 6 year old, 56 pound, female, Shepherd mix.

Indie was a stray in Riverside County in 2016 before she was transferred to Rancho Coastal Humane Society through the FOCAS (Friends of County Animal Shelters) program. She was adopted right away. Now, four years later, her family got a new dog and Indie was returned.

She’s very social and would be fine living in an apartment. Indie has soft eyes and a wagging tail. She could do well with older kids who are gentle. She needs to be the only dog in her home.

Find out how you can become a “Virtual Foster.” If you want to lend a helping paw to the pets at your Rancho Coastal Humane Society, but this isn’t a good time for you to take a cat, dog, or rabbit into your home, this is perfect for you. Trained foster volunteers care for the pets in their homes. “Virtual Fosters” sponsor the pets to help pay their expenses while they’re in foster care or at the shelter, waiting to be adopted. Virtual fosters save lives! For more information call 760-753-6413 or log on to www.sdpets.org.
