Landscape Drawing Workshop

Enjoy Visual Arts and Nature Touring in Landscape Drawing Workshop at San Elijo Lagoon on December 3. Reservations Are Underway.

Landscape Drawing Workshop
Presented by San Elijo Lagoon CONSERVANCY | December 3

Back by request from the sold-out Botany Sketching Workshop, Guest Artist-Instructor Irina Gronborg is teaching landscape drawing at the San Elijo Lagoon Nature Center. She will guide you on a visualization tour at San Elijo Lagoon. What may you see? Perhaps a Snowy Egret fishing in the tidal channels. Overhead, a raptor may be resting on a treetop branch. Native plants enhance the landscape with their natural variations in colors and patterns. Scurrying lizards and even jumping mullet can inspire you to sketch the natural lagoon landscapes before you.

Irina Gronborg will share techniques for how to imagine landscapes and working with scale. All levels welcome. Paper and pencils will be provided. You may also bring your favorite art supplies. It's all about sketching what you most admire in nature.
