Pedestrian Fatally Struck By Train In Encinitas
A pedestrian was fatally struck by a train at the Chesterfield Drive crossing in Encinitas, deputies said.

ENCINITAS, CA — A pedestrian was fatally struck by a train at the Chesterfield Drive crossing in Encinitas Monday afternoon, deputies said.
It happened about 3 p.m., and North County Transit District train service was suspended, San Diego County Sheriff's Department Lt. Pat McEvoy said.
Chesterfield Drive also was closed following the incident.
