Trio of Quakes Rattle Los Angeles Region
Breaking: Three small quakes were felt across Southern California Tuesday morning.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A trio of 3.1 , 2.9 and 2.5 magnitude temblors shook the Los Angeles region Tuesday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The most recent quake, a 2.9 temblor, struck at 9:31 a.m. northeast of Gardena. The 3.1 quake, also with an epicenter just north of Gardena, struck at 7:43 a.m. It was the second small quake to rattle the region Tuesday morning. About 20 minutes earlier a 2.5 magnitude quake struck in roughly the same area.
The shaking was felt most strongly along the LA coastline, but residents reported the shaking throughout the county.

The three small quakes followed another one late Monday. A 2.5 magnitude quake struck in the same area just before 8 p.m.
No injuries or significant damage has been reported so far.
