4 Men Shot, 1 Killed At Gathering In Hollywood
Two shooters remain at larger, and the area around Afton Place near Gower Street was closed to traffic Monday morning.
HOLLYWOOD, CA — Four men were shot at a gathering in Hollywood, killing one and forcing street closures in the area early Monday morning.
Two of the victims have been hospitalized in critical condition, and a third was treated and released from the hospital. The area around Afton Place near Gower Street was closed off Monday morning while the shooting investigation was underway.
Paramedics were called to the scene at 6112 W. Afton Place at 10:16 p.m.m., said the Los Angeles Fire Department's Brian Humphrey. Police and paramedics arrived to find 30 to 40 people in the street, a detective told Fox11. The four victims were men in their 30s and 50s, according to a desk officer at the Los Angeles Police Department's Operations Center.

According to investigators, two men approached the home on foot and fired into the residence. One of the victims may have fired back.
"It is the most egregious thing that you could do -- indiscriminate fire into any kind of party," LAPD Lt. John Radtke told Fox11. ``We're very fortunate in many ways in these incidents that we don't have little kids or babies being killed inside a residence. So as bad as this is, unfortunately, it could be worse."

No suspects were in custody, the desk officer said.
Humphrey earlier indicated that two others were also taken to hospitals with undetermined injuries.
One patient "in undetermined condition has an unspecified non-life- threatening injury," Humphrey said. Another patient was in undetermined condition with an unspecified medical complaint.
