Planes used in World War II training missions will flyover the cemetery to honor the men and women of the U.S. military.
HOLLYWOOD HILLS, CA — The Veterans Day celebration at Forest Lawn-Hollywood Hills is an annual tradition that even the coronavirus pandemic can't stop. Today, the 61st edition of the celebration will occur yet again, and be streamed on Facebook Live for all to see.
The event will start at 11 a.m. U.S. military members will be honored with a flyover of planes used in World War II by The Condor Squadron. Stephanie Stone, director of veteran's affairs for Los Angeles County, will give a keynote speech, while the Band of the Battalion will provide a musical performance while wearing Civil War uniforms.
"Through inspiring speeches and performances, we come together virtually in honor of the resiliency and triumph of the human spirit, expressing our gratitude for the men and women who have placed themselves in harm’s way for our country," Forest Lawn said.
