Brothers Meatballs Reopens After Maintenance Issue
The new restaurant on Sunset Boulevard had been closed for about two weeks.
HOLLYWOOD, CA — Brothers Meatballs reopened on Wednesday, after a two-week closure due to a maintenance issue in the kitchen. The plant-based meatball restaurant announced on May 7 they would be temporarily closed until the issue was resolved.
"You guys...your nonstop love and demand of our meatball sandwiches and pasta specials blew up our kitchen!" the restaurant joked at the time of the incident. "Just kidding, it didn’t. But we wish this photo was a joke! We had some unexpected ground work pop up and we are working all day and night to fix it!"
The restaurant used the break to revamp their menu, offering new pasta dishes and salads, including a kale caesar salad and a panzanella salad with bread, tomato, cucumber and more. Diners who purchase one of the new items will receive free garlic bread or chips with their order.

Brothers Meatballs opened at 6268 Sunset Boulevard back in February. Chefs Mauro and Sergio Corbia told Patch they were motivated to proved plant-based food could taste just as good as real meat.
"A lot of times people will say that plant-based food is tasteless," the chef's told Patch. "We took that as a challenge. We wanted to create a menu of food that tastes absolutely delicious and just happens to be plant-based. We think that following a plant-based diet shouldn't mean you're deprived of great-tasting dining options."
