Tony Cardenas Re-Elected In CA's 28th Congressional District

The Associated Press called the race as Cardenas led with 57% of the votes.

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA — Incumbent Rep. Tony Cardenas (D-CA) will continue to represent California's 29th Congressional District. The Associated Press called the race as Cardenas led democratic challenger Angelica Duenas by about 15 percentage points, with 149,161 votes having been counted.

The 29th Congressional District contains large portions of the East San Fernando Valley, such as North Hollywood, Van Nuys, Arleta and Pacoima.

Tony Cardenas took home 58.6% of votes in the March 3 primary. Democrat Angelica Duenas came in at a distant second with 22.9% of votes, earning the right to challenge Cardenas in the general election.
