The traveling clinic will visit other areas within City Council District 13 including Hollywood, Echo Park and Atwater Village.

HOLLYWOOD, CA — A vaccine clinic will open Tuesday at the Elysian Valley Recreation Center and travel to other Council District 13 locations over a six-week period for district residents who are eligible for the shot.

The vaccine clinic, which can accommodate 200 people per day, will be open Tuesday through Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the recreation center located at 1811 Ripple St.

Over a two-week period starting Friday, the clinic will travel to other locations in Councilman Mitch O'Farrell's district, which includes parts of Echo Park, Atwater Village, Virgil Village, Hollywood and Elysian Valley.

The clinic's next locations were not released.

“The 13th District is home to many groups that have been disproportionately impacted by COVID-19, including essential workers, seniors and communities of color, who have been unable to reach city and county operated vaccination sites due to working long hours, travel barriers or accessibility issues,” O'Farrell said.

“The local vaccination clinic I am launching in the 13th District helps solve this challenge by bringing the vaccine directly to Angelenos in a safe and convenient way.”

People seeking a vaccine through the program must live in Council District 13, and are encouraged to pre-register for their shots. Walk-ups will be accommodated between noon and 3 p.m., if supplies are available.

Eligible residents include education workers, food and agriculture workers, seniors who are 65 and older, healthcare workers, education/childcare workers, law enforcement personnel and emergency service responders.

Residents who have questions about the district's COVID-19 vaccination program can contact the district office at 213-207-3015 or CD13RSVP@lacity.org.
